Illinois offered Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers three-star junior offensive tackle/defensive Patrick Kutas on February 2nd.
Three-star Class of 2022 Memphis two-way lineman Patrick Kutas discussed his Illinois offer and latest in recruiting with IlliniPulse.
Patrick Kutas shared how it felt to be offered by Illinois. “It feels great.” he said. “I’m excited about it.” Kutas mentioned Illinois’ head coach Bret Bielema offered him. He shared his thoughts about Coach Bielema. “I like that he’s a easy person to talk to.” Kutas said. “He seems like one of the guys.”
Kutas is from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He is teammate of four-star running back Dallan Hayden, who is getting heavy interest from Illinois, to where his brother Chase recently transferred. “I think they are a good school.” he said discussing Illinois. “They are building a top notch football program and it is cool because my dad’s side of the family is from Chicago.”
The 6-foot-5, 284-pound lineman has 17 offers to date. Illinois joins Arkansas, Arizona State, Florida State, Mississippi State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia and more. I asked him when he will speed things up in his recruitment. He said, “Probably when I can start taking visits and seeing the schools.”
